Nano Quest- year 2006

This year's theme was about Nano technology. For research you had to think of an application for nano technology in the world. We did our research and our application turned out to be using solar panels from a company called Nanosolar (see www.nanosolar.com). They use nano technology to make flexible thin film solar panels - for one tenth the cost of normal ones! Our idea was to send a bank of these panels up into space on a nano cable to collect renewable energy form the sun. We made a brochure and shared it with a lot of people.
